What is Wesley United Church?

We are a community of seekers. We are all looking together for new responses to age-old questions. We are not looking for quick-cooked, black-and-white answers, however. We like the challenge of thinking together about the meaning of life.

We are a community of all ages and backgrounds, and we welcome among us those whose faith is firm, as well as those who are searching for their individual paths to God.

We are committed to helping the larger communities of our neighbourhood, our city, our country, and the world, in whatever way we feel called to contribute. We recognize and welcome the diversity of individual gifts, talents, abilities, and resources.

We are people who come together to question, to celebrate, to share, to comfort, and to plan. We do this every day of the week, but especially on Sundays, at 10:30 a.m. Our current midweek activities include Bible Study and Choir Practice.

Children, youth, and infants are an important part of our community family. In our Sunday School, children find a place to develop a positive self-image as children of God. They learn to respect and care for others, to celebrate God's creation, and to care for the environment. Children also take part in the larger worship services.

We are a predominantly English-speaking congregation, but we try to accommodate the needs of Francophones and other linguistic communities.

In addition to being traveling companions in life's faith journey on a day-to-day, year-to-year basis, we are especially pleased to both celebrate and more the most significant times of life. Our congregation and minister assist in providing a personal, meaningful, spiritual, and religious dimension to the profound passages of life, including weddings, baptisms, and funerals.

We look forward to sharing the richness of our experience with you, and anticipate what you will bring to us. Join us any Sunday at 10:30 a.m., at 5964 Notre Dame de Grace Avenue, Montreal (corner of Royal).
