The Rev. Dr. Stanley Brice Frost
Minister Emeritus:
The Rev. Dr. Stanley Brice Frost

Our beloved Dr. Frost became a member of Wesley with his family upon their arrival from England nearly fifty years ago, where in addition to being an ordained minister, he was professor of biblical languages at the University of Bristol.

Much to our benefit, he was enticed away from England by McGill University where he has had an impressive career as dean of the School of Divinity, dean of graduate studies and vice-principal (administration) and Director of the McGill History Project.

It might be said that Dr. Frost has been a "life preserver" on what at times seemed like a rather rocky ship. On three occasions, from 1969-1970, 1983-1985, and again from 1997-1999, Dr. Frost served the Wesley congregation as interim minister. The Wesley congregation benefits enormously from his wisdom, creative talents, and profound faith.
Far beyond that, however, he is good friend, a formable role model, a challenging spirit, and a fellow traveler on the Christian journey.
In a recently composed communion litany, Bone of Our Bone, Flesh of Our Flesh, Dr. Frost traces the incarnational aspects of Jesus, and ends the refrain with a rousing … "He is one of us."
Thank God that Dr. Frost, also, is "one of us".
